So there's a few things that I want to preface here:
- I don't know everything about NSO. I'm just an extremely passionate fan sharing observations and details about the game.
- These are just theories (a game theory, if you will) that I have compiled from various corners of the Internet. There are people who will believe different things about P-chan's identity and that's okay.
- This is a largely unfinished blog. I will be adding more onto it as I find more theories about P-chan on the internet.
P-chan, the player[]
P-chan is the producer and partner of Ame. She calls them that because they are their "perfect" producer, who helped set up all the streaming equipment and helped construct the idea of KAngel with her. Other than this base information at the beginning of the game, we don't really learn much about P-chan, such as their life. This makes sense, as they are the player and "P-chan" is just a stand-in. We play from P-chan's perspective, so everything that we see is something P-chan also sees.

Manlybadasshero's comment about P-chan not being real
After gaining the final ending through using "Data 0", you unlock the secret.txt file on Ame's computer. It reads:
Notes on the current P-chan:
Profile: My favorite person in the world and also my producer. Tells me what to do so we can turn KAngel into the strongest internet angel. Also supports me emotionally and mentally. I wuv my P-chan!
Thoughts: The current P-chan isn't bad, but I can't kind of deal with people only being nice to me, so. I made things work by myself somehow but it's still not ideal. I'll just make a better P-chan next time. One that's so dreamy I'll never wake. I think I'll start off with the goal of making marriage material next.
I can't wait to live a new life happily married!
A few notable things are that she says "the current P-chan" and "I'll just make a better P-chan". Instead of saying "finding a new P-chan" (like finding a new partner) she uses words that specifically says that P-chan was created.
This text is fairly similar to her "Medication" tab where she also shares her notes and thoughts on various medication. Despite that being a bit of a stretch, it's still noteworthy.
Theory 1: P-chan is Ame[]
To me, this theory is the most plausible. Many people who believe this theory state that P-chan is either imagined up by Ame or a separate identity that Ame convinced herself is real (similarly to how she distinguishes herself from KAngel).
- Whenever Ame takes drugs, we also feel the effects of it (seeing colors, etc.)
- Whenever Ame starts to suffer hallucinations, we also suffer them (hearing the doorbell when P-chan denies hearing it, hearing a helicopter outside, etc.). Seen in the ending of Internet Overdose.
- You can't highlight or delete comments during mental breakdown or milestone streams. This is justified as KAngel is not paying attention to the chatbox during these types of streams.
- Even though P-chan is the one looking at /st/ according to Ame, she still takes psychic damage when P-chan views them and it takes up her time. On KAngel's account she says she can see all her followers' (and haters') posts.
Theory 2: P-chan is Ame's computer[]
- P-chan also means "PC".
- When Ame stabs P-chan, the computer screen is broken.
- When the computer screen is slanted, there is a white border, and not a room background.
